	About Us

The Autistic Society is a non-profit organisation formed in 2003 by a single-parent mum of a wonderful little boy named Cameron who has autism.

This online association was inspired by the every day struggles to provide and secure a better world for Cameron.

The society main aims are to provide:

• help and support to families with ASD children from around the world
• extensive information about Autism and coexisting disorders

Furthermore, Cameron's mum has gone on to continue her work and became one of the original founders of BASIC, which became a registered charity in 2006. BASIC develops autism related services and resources.
