Re: Do you personally think there is a link between MMR and
Both my children reacted to MMR and Meng C which was given in close proximity.
Both pregnancies were normal, births straightforward, high APAGR scores, breastfed, reached all milestones were happy healthy babies. My daughter regressed twice (at 12 months and again at 4.5) lost balance, kept falling over (signs of neurlogical damage), lost speech, lost toilet skills, was withdrawn and her playgroup raised concerns for her welfare and in short I received a visit because of the concerns (late onset autism and signs of child abuse are very very similar) although I voiced my concerns re vaccination U was told it had nothing to do with vaccination. In fact it was suggested that because I worked part-time perhaps it was that that was causing my daughter's problerms. She was diagnosed with behavioural difficulties! I tried to believe the doctors and health practionters and trusted them - after all they would never knowingly hurt my daughter, they would never give her anything that could harm her - would they - as I was a first time mum, perhaps it was something I was doing wrong - after all - its always down to the parents - itnt it?
I have video tape and photographic evidence of my daughter's decline after both shots.
It took the dramatic regression of my son. At 16 months, 1 week and 1 day old he was given MMR 20 days after receiving Meng. C vaccine. He developed high tempeature, rash 5 days after vaccination, he was constantly sceaming a high pitched enphaltic cry. I was told to adminster calpol. Eventually the screaming subsided - he was banging his head against the sides of his cot, rocking his body and moaning. He was a previously cuddly, soft loving baby - when I held him he arched his back away from me as if he was in pain. He lost speech, eye contact and was withdrawn. He developed constant dirroeah, and has suffered with it ever since. Today at 5 years old he is totally non-verbal and is still in nappies.
I have video tape of my son taken before MMR which shows him to be responsive, socialble, giving eye contact, smiling and expressive. He was copying his sister who was jumping up and down with her star and he clearly said "star". He pointed at objects of interest and understood instructions, like "put that back!" to which he complied.
My son does not even recognise his own name now.
Since doctors have told me autism does not "present" or "show itself" until 18 months I ask, surely there would havebeen signs before. It is a gradual realisation that something is not quite right. My son's whole persona changed dramatically in six weeks. In short he became a totally different child and exhibited signs of neurological trauma.
MMR can cause neurological and nerve damage, ie seizures, cerebal palsy, SSPE, Guirre Barre Syndrome, nerve deafness/damage, amongst other side effects - this is listed in the manufacturers list of known side effects and contradictions. If such serious neurological side effects can occur from MMR then the possibility of autism and damage to neurons in the developing brain of an infant also become a real possibility.
I believe that the early programme of vaccination is the beginning for some sucepttible indivudals of a gradual decline and compromised immune system which in some the MMR is the final nail in the coffin which plunges the child into autism.
My babies were not born autistic. Something triggered their autism. It happened after having MMR.
What happened to my children and thousands like them?
Clinical research is needed to look at these children to ascertain why they reacted. Gulf War Veterans were also given MMR amongst other vaccinations and they are currently fighting for recognition for damage they have suffered.
If MMR can damage healthy adults what in gods name can it do to the immature immune system of an infant?
Q. Can MMR hurt children?
A. yes it can,
